Wandering American roads (pt5) – One day tired of visiting the museum

Posted on August 4, 2022December 28, 2022

The place chosen for the scene in “Night at the museum part 2” is the American Museum-Of-Natural-History in WST DC. Here, many exhibits were also marked as appearing in this movie.

Picking up the train to the Smithsonian station, the mother and daughter walked one more time to the American Museum of Natural History. This is the museum of the Smithsonian Institution, an old red castle opposite the museum.

Right in front of the museum, people put rocks from millions, billions of years ago. Only then did I get curious. I was extremely excited to see what’s inside. At this point, people do not have to pay money to buy tickets. People can go and see. The museum is open 364 days a year. Before entering, guests must go through a security control gate. That’s right, in this museum, there are many rare and precious things, including precious stones, diamonds, gold, etc.

The view in the main hall of the museum overwhelmed me, not only because of the magnificent interior architecture but the vast space. Here, people display a large elephant elephant, an animal that symbolizes wild nature.

Taking advantage of taking pictures for a while in front of the main hall, my mother and I went to the display … dinosaur bones. Big dinosaurs are packed up in the gallery. Among them is the Tyrannosaurus dinosaur, who “played” in the movie “Night at the museum: B-attle of the Smithin”. Of course, at the foot of this Tyrannosaurus, the film’s logo is stamped. When I was little, I liked dinosaurs, read books about dinosaurs, and now I have a good look at the huge dinosaur skeletons.

When going to the gallery of dinosaurs, the mother and daughter went through the display of stone types. Come here to see how beautiful natural stones are. And one more thing, we know how more gems exist in nature and how people exploit them. There are rocks that form clusters, form an array inside the rock holes, and then they turn into jewelry. This is a well-protected area of the museum. Naturally it reminds me of the scene of stealing gems in museums in some action movies. Seeing the stone area to see such beautiful nature, there are many interesting things that we do not know. In the museum, there are also displays of earth and rock on the Moon.

The museum has many more places and is very wide. However, at that time, my mother was tired so I could not go on, I had to bring my mother back. Hope next time will go more. And right at WST DC, there are many other museums. When visiting the capital of the United States, if you do not have time to go out of the museums, then at least should go to a hospital, very grand and impressive.
